Happy Friday! Cheers to the freakin' weekend, right? So, I know we all have them: Our "Secret Beauty Weapons." Those weapons so fierce that we hold so near and dear to our heart... those items that, if it was ever discontinued... we might have an epic meltdown.
Well, today I wanted to share with you my "Secret Beauty Weapons." I've been using some of these items since 7th grade and others are new but equally amazing finds.
So here is my countdown for my Secret Beauty Weapons!
We all get them: zits! They are mean and nasty and always seem to have the best timing i.e. right before a hot date. Well, have no fear because Mario Badescu Drying Lotion is here! It heals any blemish almost immediately.
Next up: Healthy Sexy Hair Soy-Tri-Wheat Leave In Conditioner. This leave in conditioner / detangler smells so good and works miracles for tangled hair. I have to use it after every shower or else my comb will not even go through my hot mess of a hairdo.
I just discovered Sephora Microsmooth Blush Duo in Guava Glow and it is perfection. It has the perfect shades of pink in it's cute little duo case and just the right amount of shimmer so you don't look like you just walked out of a rave.
I work out during my lunch break and it was own personal nightmare to come back from the gym after wearing my hair up to have a big fat kink in it. Welcome Kitsch Hair Ties. These elastic bands will not leave a crease in your hair and they double as cute wrist accessories.
This is an oldie but a goodie. I started using this back in the Physician's Formula Summer Eclipse Bronzing & Shimmering Face Powder. It is a drug store find so it is fairly cheap and lasts forever. I have turned all of my friends to this and everyone swears by it! It compliments all skin tones perfectly!
Eos is my fave lip balm and when I heard that they were coming out with Eos Hand Lotion I was hoping and praying it would come in the same scents of the lip balm as we all know how heavenly they are. They did and this lotion is equally heavenly.
I did my due diligence when I was looking for the perfect tinted moisturizer. I wanted one that felt light on my skin, had a low SPF and provided coverage but didn't look like you had anything on. So many I tried left a tint on my skin and looked jus... not good. My search finally came down to Stila Tinted Moisturizer and Balm Shelter Tinted Moisturizer. Though they were both great, Blam Shelter came out on top. I highly recommend this product!
You know that fierce, bright lip color that everyone is wearing at the moment. Stila Long Wear Lip Gloss in Caprice is exactly it! It is pretty and glossy and smells good to boot!
Un post muy interesante, ahora ya sabemos algún truco

ReplyDeleteI've heard and read so much about Mario Badescu but still haven't bought myself anything from this brand - but this drying lotion sounds like what I need for my spots! Same with Stila - I know bloggers rave about it, but I have yet to make my first purchase. This lipgloss looks pretty nice, so I might test it out on my next trip to the department store! Have a lovely weekend, Holly! xoxo

I always love learning about the beauty secrets of others! I am definitely going to have to get that leave-in conditioner. The longer my hair gets, the hotter the mess it becomes ;) XO Brynn
ReplyDeleteDude, where have you been all my life? My zits permanently implant themselves on my face. I still have zits and their residue circa 2004. So I'm definetely giving this drying lotion a try. Also like the idea of this leave in condition. I love BIG SEXY products! I enjoy your list. My personal one would consist of a razor, because that is one necessity I WILL have a melt down without.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, I pretty much laughed for a good solid minute reading your comment on my blog. FUCK FUCK FUCK!! :)

I'm also lol'ing at this one douche bag who commented on this post saying 'breathtaking'... someone is obviously not reading the contents of this post.LOL
ReplyDeletehi babe, does that Healthy Sexy Hair leave your hair heavy? I like volume as my hair is fine :)
ReplyDeleteYes- I really think it makes a difference! I can tell when I don't use it and so can my hairdresser, which I think says something about it! Something good! If you are looking for volume, my hairdresser just used this on me thew other day and I thought it was pretty awesome: http://www.moroccanoil.com/usa/h_us_en/volumizing-mousse-110
DeleteBut if you are going for a healthy detangler, do the Sexy Hair...
I bet you could combine both of them! Hope that helps!
