Have you guys heard? 

The Pantone Color of the Year 2013 is Emerald! 

I am just looooving it! 

It's happy-go-lucky and calming at the same time. 

But just how influential is the announcement? 

Color forecasters, fashion designers and store buyers really do put some stock in 

the Pantone choice of color. Pantone's press release cited that Tracy Reese, Nanette 

Lepore and Marimekko plan to infuse the color into their Spring collections and 

Sephora is creating a Pantone Emerald beauty collection to be released in the spring.

So it sounds like we will be seeing a lot more emerald on the runways and shelves this season. 

I couldn't be happier... but I guess that's the point! The color is supposed to be a great mood enhancer!

I love the prospect of being able to wear hats, gloves, scarves and mittens now that winter has arrived. It's important to fashionably cozy up those extremities! No frostbite here, ladies!

On a side note, I put myself on a little 15 day "diet" leading up to Thanksgiving. Go figure, huh? Healthy eating and then BAM- I'm genna shove a cornucopia of food in my face to celebrate!  So, I'm basically cutting out sugar, bad fats and carbs, carbs, carrrrbbbbssssssssss... Did I mention I'm cutting out CARBS! Who do I think I am!? I looove pasta! Wish me luck to last into tomorrow, ladies! I will be needing it.

WHITE HAUTE // After Labor Day

Whoever made up that stupid rule that you're not allowed to wear white after Labor Day? What a weirdo. And when does this rule officially end according to this genius trendsetter? Until the next Labor Day? Whatever.

That rule is dead in my book.

White is perfect for all seasons. And I'm sure all my stylish readers would agree. In fact, I think white is worn best directly AFTER Labor Day. The summer weather is still lingering and we are trying to soak up as much of the summer love as possible. White just seems appropriate. Just try not to spill ketchup or watermelon down the front of your white dress like I favor doing.

Kate Spade Surprise Sale Happening Now!

I couldn't resist this Kate Spade Surprise Sale, which ends today! I just bought this beautiful Kate Spade Kennywood Passport Holder for future travels that are not yet planned, but thought about often. The boy and I are planning on Spain, England and France later this year!

Tech Goddess

I had a small epiphany yesterday. We are all tech goddesses. I mean, the fact that we use technology to run our daily lives, make a name for ourselves and make a living, it's pretty amazing to me.

And for the most part, we have figured out most everything ourselves. I'm willing to bet that over half of us are completely self taught graphic designers, web developers or bloggers in some form or fashion. I have a Master's Degree in Marketing and work as a Marketing & PR Manager for an Insurance Company, but I have never, ever taken a graphic design class. Nor have I taken a blogging seminar, html coding class or a fashion course... I hope that's not too obvious ;) But I bet many of us are in the same boat: self-taught little smartie pants'!

So considering we are ALL amazing and talented tech goddesses, we should decorate ourselves with the most far out, forward-thinking and fabulously fashionable tech pieces.

We deserve it, after all. We are goddesses.

Merrily Wed

My best friend, Nicole, got engaged over the weekend and I could NOT be happier for her and her soon-to-be hubbie! She called me right after it happened and within about 2.5 seconds of hanging up, I was already dreaming about the bachelorette party... the champagne we needed to pop ASAP... her engagement gift!
