It's Only Temporary

Let's take a little trip down memory lane, shall we? Do you remember temporary tattoos? The kind that you apply with water and a washcloth? Those were hands-down the coolest. I remember rocking a Pink Power Ranger tattoo on my forearm when I was a kid and thinking I was one bad ass mofo. A certified member of an imaginary motorcycle gang.

Well, let's all be thankful that those tattoos were only temporary. Trends change... tastes change... you grow up. What you like now you might not like a few months or years down the line. "Stay Calm and Carry On," I'm looking at YOU!

The same goes for wallpaper. I am way too scared to paint my walls purple or wallpaper my bathroom because I know I will get sick of it sooner or later. So, when I heard about removable wallpaper, I was pumped. Like, way pumped. Body builder PUMPED! Why commit to being a wallpaper slave when you can live a carefree design existence!

Yeah, I'm going overboard but I'm just so excited. I'm planning to buy some solid gold panels to display in my closet. Check out some fabulous pieces that I've found!

  7. LOVE this post! So many great inspiration ideas... especially for us LA people who are serial renters since we cannot afford a house! HA! But removable wallpaper is SUCH a great way to spruce up and customize a space without having to deal with backlash from a landlord!

  8. I've been thinking about giving something like this a try as well. I knew I would get sick of whatever I picked out, which is why my powder room never got wallpapered! If you use it in your new place let us know how it works out for you. O yea, and hurry up, we wanna see the picks of your new place! :)

  9. After we painted in our first apartment, I decided we would not paint again until we buy the house that we know we are going to stay in for a long, long time. It is WAY too much work. I am madly in love with that first gold wallpaper and I love that it is removable. It reminds me of something similar I had seen (but now I can't remember where). I would love that for a fabulous dressing room (cause, you know, in the house we stay in I obviously need a dressing room/ enormous closet :) !!)
