Etsy Shop Spotlight // Papersushi

Today, I want to give a very special shoutout to Jen from the oh-so fabulous Etsy Shop Papersushi. Jen and I have a mutual admiration of each other's work so we decided to do a trade! I sent her some GlamourMash necklaces, and, in return, she sent me the most beautiful custom return address label stamp.

Let me tell you a little more about Papersushi... Papersushi specializes in custom made stamps (like mine), wedding designs and lovely packaging. Jen's amazing calligraphy gives the stamps a very unique look that you can't find anywhere else. If you are looking for custom calligraphy stamps to give you that extra edge in your packaging, absolutely consider Jen from Papersushi. Plus, she is a sweetheart to boot!

Put Your Stamp On It

"I'm big into stamps" is a phrase that I never thought I would say past the age of 10 but... Seriously... "I'm big into stamps." If you own a company or have a blog or just like going the extra mile with packaging, I think it's extra cool to put your own personalized stamp on anything you send out. The same goes for return address labels.

Right now, I am surfing Etsy for the perfect vendor to buy the perfect personalized brand stamp and return address stamp and these are the most unique retailers I've found yet. What do you think- Are you into "stamping?"

Pretty Packaging

I am a giant sucker for packaging. Pretty packaging can sway me to buy just about anything! Just last week, I bought a hand soap that smelled awful but the packaging was sooo pretty. It's now in our bathroom to Clint's dismay :)

Despite my love for packaging, I am a horrible present wrapper. Seriously- I'm just awful at it. I always run out of paper half way through or can't figure out how to properly wrap an odd shaped gift... my family cracks up at my skills every year at Christmas. So now it's kind of my trademark thing: "Holly- The Epic Gift Wrapper."

So I am determined to perfect my skills and that's where Knot & Bow comes in. Knot & Bow is an adorable Etsy Store that I stumbled across this weekend and I think I almost bought out the entire shop. I mean, how could I resist!

Gold Heart Stickers? Check!
Adorable Pencils? Got 'Em!
Fab Confetti! Yep!

Here are a few of my favorite items from the shop.

It's Only Temporary

Let's take a little trip down memory lane, shall we? Do you remember temporary tattoos? The kind that you apply with water and a washcloth? Those were hands-down the coolest. I remember rocking a Pink Power Ranger tattoo on my forearm when I was a kid and thinking I was one bad ass mofo. A certified member of an imaginary motorcycle gang.

Well, let's all be thankful that those tattoos were only temporary. Trends change... tastes change... you grow up. What you like now you might not like a few months or years down the line. "Stay Calm and Carry On," I'm looking at YOU!

The same goes for wallpaper. I am way too scared to paint my walls purple or wallpaper my bathroom because I know I will get sick of it sooner or later. So, when I heard about removable wallpaper, I was pumped. Like, way pumped. Body builder PUMPED! Why commit to being a wallpaper slave when you can live a carefree design existence!

Yeah, I'm going overboard but I'm just so excited. I'm planning to buy some solid gold panels to display in my closet. Check out some fabulous pieces that I've found!

Fabulous Necklace Swap

Have you all met Jill from Classy With a Kick?
If not, allow me to introduce you to this stunning and stylish lady!

Jill and I met several years ago at an industry function. I remember Jill well not only because she was dressed to perfection, but because she was SO nice. Fast forward several years and Jill and I got back in touch only to realize that we had both started fashion blogs AND opened Esty Stores AND started making handmade jewelry! So crazy that we followed such similar paths!

Jill created her Etsy shop "Classy with a Kick" to help bring a little "kick" into everyday attire. Jill's hugely popular lace necklaces, which have been featured in Glamour Magazine and Open Sky, are the perfect combination of classy (lace) with a kick (fab neon colors).

Jill and I decided that it would be fun to do a necklace swap on the blog today. I had originally planned to do a fashion post featuring the necklace but I had a series of bad hair days so I've put together an outfit inspiration board using her White Lace Bib Statement Necklace.

Jill is generously offering GlamourMash readers a 20% discount at her Etsy Shop, Classy With a Kick! Just enter "GMCWAK20" at checkout! Be sure to stop over at Jill's blog HERE to see her feature about her GlamourMash necklace too!

Exciting Happenings

Ok, I have a few things that I just HAVE to tell you! There has been SO much going on lately in my professional, blog, and personal life and I'm over the moon about all of it! I feel like I'm running on empty, but the fun kind of empty! So here are my latest happenings!

Excitement # 1 || GlamourMash Jewelry Line Picked up by Fab.com
When I first started my jewelry line on Etsy, I reached out to a few large retailers on a whim, thinking that maybe there would be the tiniest chance that they might get back to me. Well, Fab.com got back to me and I was totally blown away, flattered and SO excited! Fab.com is one of my fave quirky online retailers with a circulation of over 12 million subscribers. Yes, I said 12 MILLION! So needless to say, I have been painting and stringing necklaces like a mad woman. I'm making over 400 necklaces in just over a month's time. The sale happens on May 5th so please keep an eye out for it! The most rewarding part is seeing people wear my pieces. I get a little flutter in my heart every time I see someone wear one of my pieces!

Excitement # 2 || I was Asked to be a Part of the Marie Claire June Beauty Roadshow
I was contacted by Marie Claire to be a part of the June Beauty Roadshow last week! What an amazing offer and I jumped at the chance! The morning of the shoot, I still had no idea what I was wearing so it was a fly by the seat of my pants kind of day! I really don;t think I have a keen eye for fashion so I was shopping and senidng potential pics to my stylist friend ALL morning before the shoot. Ok, this picture is too funny, I just had to share. I was in a rush, so taking off my pants was out of the question! haha! I also had the pleasure of meeting the sweetest of the sweet, Keeks Francisco from KeeksFashionInc blog, who worked as the Production Assistant at the shoot. Check her out. She has some fab content.

Excitement # 3 || Clint and I Put an Offer in on a Home in Ocean Beach
We put an offer in and all the negotiations are supposed to go down today. Can you say "freaked out much!" Clint and I have been looking for a home to buy for over a year, put offers in on several homes and had our heart broken several times over. But this home is looking really promising! It is in Ocean Beach, has 2 bedrooms, 3 baths, an attached garage and all new upgrades. I've started imagining our life there, which everyone says is a no-no before you officially sign the papers, but I just can't help myself. It's perfect. Fingers crossed!

Excitement # 4 || GlamourMash Jewelry Line Picked up by Bourbon and Boots
Another one of my favorite online retailers picked up my necklace line! Whaaaaaat! It's all happening so fast! The sale date is TBD, but I will let you know when this happens too! I can barely contain myself I'm so pleased! The people there are so fun to work with so I am excited for future sales as well!

So if I have been a little absentee on the blog lately, these are the reasons! It's been cray cray town over here! Ok, I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend! I'm off to Vegas for a Bachelorette Party! Wahoo! What are you all up to my darlings?
