Vixen Fashion Blog Launch Party || Quality Social

I had such a great time at the Vixen Fashion Blog Launch Party on Wednesday at Quality Social in downtown San Diego! It is the first Vixen pop-up boutique event that I have been to and it did not disappoint. There were local clothing and jewelry vendors, a live art show, fashion show, yummy food, even yummier cocktails and music by DJ Drenik! It was an all around amazing time! Did I mention that I had my very own Private VIP Ride there thanks to Uber!

The Owner of Vixen and party planner extraordinaire, Venessa Johnson, did such an amazing job and did I mention that she is 9 months pregnant too... like due on Tuesday pregnant! Any woman that can pull off her level of chicness and party throwingwhile they are 9 months pregnant is a hero in my mind!

Vixen Fashion Blog Launch Party

I am beyond thrilled to be attending the Vixen Fashion Blog Launch Party at Quality Social in downtown San Diego tonight! Vixen is a pop up boutique that captures the unique emerging talent of San Diego and showcases them in one fabulous area! 

The launch party is featuring 20 of the hottest indie designers and boutiques, a fashion show, art exhibit, DJ, food and cocktails. Plus, there are lots of great giveaways and treats for those who attend! If you live in San Diego, this is a MUST ATTEND event! Plus, there's no cover charge! All you have to do is show up! What I'm Loving Right Now // Fifi Du Vie

What I'm loving right now? The answer to that is easy! I am SO in love with Fifi Du Vie, my current sponsor. Fifi Due Vie is a small design studio run by Izabella Dennis in Somerville, Massachusetts. The shop makes beautiful and whimsical paper products, wood products and textile products, among other curiosities. I think I need the colorful Dot Pouch in my life, like NOW! 

All of the products are small batch production and made by hand, which I truly appreciate. All of the jewelry I make for GlamourMash The Shop are handmade and made in small batches, which ensures quality and attention to detail. The process is harder and takes longer, but it makes for a better product!

I've got a girl crush... on two girls. Don't tell my boyfriend.

Okay, okay, it's more of fashion crush. 

Two of my fabulous friends who just happen to be sisters recently started Blonde X Army, a blog dedicated to their daily fashion lives. And fashionable they are! The quality and content of their blog is amazing, even though it's only a few weeks old.

Oh, and they have the most amazing tutorial for a messy bun. I've literally tried tons of tutorials and this is the only one that sticks... and it's the easiest!

Collars are everywhere! And that's just fine with me. 

I have a few collared blouses and dresses that I just LOVE! I think they are understatedly sexy and feminine. They look especially chic with a pulled up coif or a messy bun.

Merrily Wed

My best friend, Nicole, got engaged over the weekend and I could NOT be happier for her and her soon-to-be hubbie! She called me right after it happened and within about 2.5 seconds of hanging up, I was already dreaming about the bachelorette party... the champagne we needed to pop ASAP... her engagement gift!

Online shopping is so much fun. In fact, it's way too much fun. Why? Because it is WAY easier to click "buy" versus pulling out your wallet and paying with actual cash money. But... that overwhelming sense of excitement you get when you arrive home to find a package sitting on your doorstep is sometimes worth it. I had some fun shopping on Etsy the other day and bought 3 new chain link bracelets. The middle one is actually two chains on one bracelet.

Current Obsession: New J. Crew Catalogue

Has anyone else been drooling over the new J. Crew Catalogue? I stole it from my boyfriend's mail stack this morning and, true to my addiction, plan to hit J. Backless Love

I love the look of backless shirts and dresses. If done right, the backless look can look elegant, sexy and even sophisticated. Done wrong, and you can look like a hooker. True story.

For those of us doing the backless thing... built-in bras, breast petals and those awkward (but totally worth it) sticky cutlets are key. We don't want a floppy boob or a nipple slip, right ladies!?
