ART I LOVE NO.2

Welcome to the second installation of my "Art I Love" series. I have been buying up pieces to create a gallery wall in my office and has noticed that I am most definitely into the color pink and abstract pieces of art. I mean, like every single piece I have bought is pink and abstract.

Here are some more pieces along those lines. I bought "woman" today and think it will pair amazingly well with my other fun pieces! Yay!

ART I LOVE NO.1

I'm kicking off today with a new series that I will be calling "Art I Love." I love all mediums of art and the feeling it can evoke in you. When we were growing up, my parents would take my sister and I to museums all the time. I didn't appreciate it as much when I was young, but now that I am older {and a wee bit wiser}, I am forever grateful that they opened my eyes up to such  beauty at a young age. Now, one of my favorite things to do is visit museums, where I tend to favor modern art. The weirder it is, the more I tend to like it. And who doesn't love a good museum gift shop.

I could spend days in the Guggenheim and MoMA in NYC and the San Francisco and LA MoMA's are equally fabulous. I cannot wait until I travel to Paris to go to the Louvre.

Whimsy of Watercolor

I am unsure of a lot of things. My sense of fashion is all over the place. My taste in interior design is ever changing. But one thing is for sure: I have a certain taste in art that I just love and that is watercolors. The dreamy colors, easy lines and un-harshness of it gets me every time.

I've told you about Leigh Viner but I wanted to introduce some other favorites and finds from the watercolor world.

What do you think? Are you a fan of watercolors or do you have a specific taste in art?

Designer Spotlight // Christine Dovey of Bijou and Boheme

Tiffany Leigh of Tiffany Leigh Interior Design recently introduced me to the fabulous home of Christine Dovey of Bijou and Boheme. Christine's home was featured in Style and Home, and let me tell you, it is perfection in every sense of the word.

Her home is feminine and flirty, with gold, pink, white and grey accents throughout. My girl, Leigh Viner, is featured in several rooms in the house. I have several of her pieces in my home and office and I can't emphasize enough how fantastic her art is. Her art is being featured on One King's Lane today so if you've been considering buying a piece, now is the time to do it!

What do you guys think of Christine's home?

Designer Spotlight // Leeza Meksin of DeezDoggBling

Please allow me to introduce you to the seriously talented artist and designer, Leeza Meksin. Leeza has a unique take on the art world, using stretch fabrics in creating paintings and large scale art installations like the one below.

Leeza started making clothing and jewelry as a way to recycle the materials used in her work and to raise money for other art works. Enter her Etsy Store, DeezDoggBling

Leeza has a seriously cool take on jewelry, incorporating fun materials from her large scale art installations like bungee and recycled rope into her pieces. Leeza also makes eccentric totes, leggings and headpieces. All of her pieces are loud and fabulous and truly wearable pieces of art. I highly encourage you to check out her Etsy Store, DeezDoggBling, and website, Meksin.

Leeza was sweet enough to send me her Tribal Collar with Neon Red Bungee Cord with Black and Silver Tortoise Shell U-Plate and Neon Yellow Stripes. Is there a cooler necklace on the face of the planet? I think not!

Check out the detailing on this beauty!

Her bracelets are gorgeous too!

Thanks again, Leeza!
