Philippe Starck Bronze Stool

This week's genna be a heater... I can already feel it and the sun hasn't even come up yet! My new assistant starts today at work {thank God}, so she and I will be busy with training and my showing her the ropes of the office ! I haven't had an assistant in over 2 weeks so it will be great to have some help again! I know she is going to be a superstar because she's smart and sweet!

So, this past weekend, I went to Orange County to celebrate my mama's birthday! It was SO nice to be at home and catch up with the family! As some of you know, Costa Mesa is home to one of the best Home Goods stores on the face of the planet. I picked up some fabulous art and an exact replica of THIS Philippe Starck Bronze Stool. The $50 Home Goods price tag sure beats the $995 cost of the real thing! Serious score! I'm hoping to put it in my home office when we move into the new place. I'm going to aim for a very Jonathan Adler-esque space.

What do you guys think of this piece? Gaudy? Awesome? I'm getting some love/hate opinions. My mom and a fellow shopper thought the piece was awesome! My sister, on the other hand, stared at me like I was a crazy person when I chucked the giant golden head in my shopping cart... and I was SO tempted to take a video of my boyfriend's reaction of the stool when I brought it home... haha. He hates gold and I can't get enough!
